Stock Management

The Inventory system tracks current stock at your branch for each product and maintains a complete history of all stock movements. This applies to Products only — services don't have inventory.

Accessing Inventory

  1. Tap "Manage" from main menu
  2. Tap "Inventory & Ledger" (under "Catalog and inventory")
  3. Opens the Inventory Dashboard

Each product shows: name, current stock quantity, status (In Stock / Low Stock / Out of Stock), and action buttons.

Adding Stock (Stock In)

When you receive new products:

  1. Tap "Add" button
  2. Select product — Which product to stock
  3. Enter quantity — How many units received
  4. Select movement type:
    • PURCHASE — Normal stock purchase from supplier
    • OPENING_STOCK — Initial stock when setting up
    • ADJUSTMENT — Manual correction (found items, etc.)
  5. Add details (optional but recommended): Supplier name, invoice number, invoice date, unit cost, tax amount, total amount
  6. Save

Stock quantity updates immediately and a ledger entry is created for the audit trail.

Removing Stock (Stock Out)

When products are used or removed:

  1. Tap "Remove" button
  2. Select product
  3. Enter quantity
  4. Select movement type:
    • SALE — Sold to customers (usually automatic)
    • SERVICE_CONSUMPTION — Used in service (e.g., shampoo used in haircut)
    • WASTE — Damaged or expired products
    • RETURN — Returned to supplier
    • ADJUSTMENT — Manual correction
  5. Save
