Different salons use different terms. Here is exactly what these words mean inside SlonAxis to prevent confusion among your staff.

| Global Catalog | The master list of every single service or product your company offers across all locations. |
| Branch Listing | The specific items sold at one location, including that location's specific price. |
| Service | Something your staff does (e.g., Haircut). Services never run out of stock. |
| Product | A physical item you sell to customers (e.g., Hair gel). Products have tracked inventory. |
| Package | A bundled deal (e.g., Haircut + Spa) sold together at a combined price. |
| Walk-in | A customer who completes a transaction without providing their name or phone number. |
| Registered Customer | A customer whose profile is saved in your system, allowing you to track their loyalty and visit history. |
| Ledger | The permanent, un-deletable history of every inventory movement (purchases, sales, damage). Used for audits to prevent theft. |
| Branch | A physical salon location. Each branch has its own staff, inventory, pricing, and sales records. |
| Discount Rule | An automated promotion that the system evaluates and applies to carts in real-time. |
| Exclusive Group | A tag used to ensure only one discount rule from the same group applies per cart. |
| Priority | A number that determines the order in which discount rules are evaluated. Lower numbers run first. |
| Lotus Bloom | A fictional demo salon app used in screenshots, videos, and documentation to teach and explain SlonAxis features. |
